Every yer, E3 manages to surprise us with some great games and really cool conferences. This year was no different, with lots of extraordinary games being announced for 2018 and beyond. With that in mind, here’s a quick list with some of the best games that were announced at E3 this year.
There was a lot of speculation that we would finally see the game and how it looks. The Witcher 3 developers did not disappoint, as they offered an amazing trailer with great ideas and a vibrant world. The interesting thing is that this is a first person game now, a nice shift from the previous title the developers worked on.
Anthem has been announced for quite some time, but now we finally know the release date, which is in February next year. One thing is certain, the game is very fun and it seems to be more than just a 3rd person Destiny clone.
Gears of War 5
Gears of War 5 seems to come with a new story and some really fun gameplay ideas as well. We also have some returning characters, but also some new ones too. It also seems that we will have a female protagonist this time around.
Tom Clancy's The Division 2
The first title in this series was plagued with performance and gameplay issues, but patches fixed it up. The developers seemed to learn from mistakes, so Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is set to offer us Washington in a post-apocalyptic world just ready to be unleashed. Which on its own is super distinct and fun.
Fallout 76 offered us a lot of gameplay and details. This is the first Fallout title that actually has multiplayer and the game world is massive. It’s a survival game at its core, but it’s also approachable by the newcomers to this type of genre.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a game created by the Respawn theme and it seems to be the singleplayer Star Wars game that people wanted. Although there aren’t a lot of details, and the game might as well be a multiplayer experience in the end!
Assassin's Creed Odyssey
While we didn’t really expect another AC game this year, we will surely take one. Ancient Greece is a perfect setting for games like this, and it’s safe to say that this is a title that seems to have what it takes when it comes to violence and fun gameplay.
These were some of the top titles that were at E3 this year. But there were some others like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Forza Horizon 4 as well as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Metro: Exodus. One thing is certain, if you love PC games, it’s safe to say that the next 12 months are packed with some really impressive, exciting games that everyone will enjoy playing.
